Funny but creepy experience in a church bathroom
Hey folks, welcome to Spooky Appalachia, where each week we cover a fan submitted story from you the fans. This week we’ve got a good one from our good friend Allie, that’s both creepy and funny!
When I was a kid, I was part of a youth group at my old church. We would all meet at the church after school for an after school care program and every day during summers. At the back of the church, there was a bathroom that was said to be haunted. Kids would see creepy shapes and shadows behind them in the mirror and the sinks would turn on by themselves. We were all afraid to use that bathroom so we tried to use the one closer to the front of the building if we could. One day, me and a few other girls from the youth group had to go to the bathroom, so our leader sent us out as a group… to the haunted bathroom. We were scared but we went anyway because that’s where our leader sent us, and it was closer. As soon as we stepped into the room, we all got this really creepy feeling like something was there. I remember we were all too scared to move at first. Eventually we all went in. They were done using the bathroom before I was, so I was still in my stall while they washed their hands. Suddenly, they started screaming in terror and ran out of the bathroom. The lights then flickered and shut off, leaving me there in the dark by myself. Like the terrified kid I was, I got up and sprinted out of the bathroom, forgetting to even pull up my pants. When I ran out into the hallway, my entire youth group was standing there. They saw everything. Of course, they laughed and I was embarrassed and I still think back on that day as one of my most embarrassing moments, all thanks to a ghost. Apparently, the girls had seen something creeping up behind them in the mirror, and the sinks next to them that they were not using turned on by themselves, which is why they screamed and ran. As they left, the lights went out by themselves too. I didn’t see anything that day, but there was a lot of bad energy in that room for sure.
