The Lizard man of Scape Ore Swamp or Lee County is said to be about 7-8 feet tall with scaly green or brown skin and glowing red or orange eyes. The first modern sightings was reported in 1987 but the natives of the Creek tribe reported sightings of something similar many years before this.
In 1987 a young man was driving home from work around 2:00 am when he blew a tire. He stopped on the side of the road on the edge of the swamp to change it. When he finished up and headed to get back in his car he heard a strange thumping sound coming up behind him. He turned to see what it was and saw the creature running towards him from a field.
Frightened by this he jumped in his car and locked the door. The creature ran up to the car and tried to open up the door with its three fingers. He took off but the creature jumped up onto the roof of his car. He swerved the car to try and get rid of it. He then heard what he thought sounded like a grunt and it was gone.
Soon after this there were more sightings, many of these had damage or even claw marks on their vehicles. The town quickly became a tourist attraction for monster hunters and even more sightings occurred. Local law enforcement were even able to create castings made from a large 3 toed creature.
In 2015 a woman and her friend stepped out of a about a mile away from Scape Ore Swamp when she saw something running along the treeline. She claimed the first thing that came to her mind was to pull out her phone and take a photo. The photo quickly found its way around the internet and to new outlets, soon after a local hunter put out a video of what he claims was the same creature. Since then here continue to be sporadic signings to this day of the creature.
