This week, we have a story from a fan who sent us the amazing story from Edinburgh Manor. This time she has sent us a story about a strange incident she and her shift sergeant had while she was working as a 911 dispatcher. It happened in Linn County, Iowa, back in September of 2018.
I was working as a dispatcher for our local county sheriff’s office. I got a call from someone stating that their relative who was undergoing cancer treatment had stopped answering the door, and their mail had been piling up. I put the call out and the shift sergeant stated he’d go, since it would likely be a DOA (dead on arrival), and he’d have to show up anyway. When he arrived at the house, he radioed in saying he had seen someone pull half the drapes back at the window with their hand, peering out. After making entry, he discovered that the individual was deceased and was located in a bedroom, which was the same room he saw someone look out of. After clearing the house, it was deemed empty other than the deceased individual. Once the sergeant got back to dispatch, I jokingly asked, “What’d you see in the window, a ghost”? He said, “I sure saw something”.
