Located in Kingsport Tennessee, the tunnel was built sometime in the 1920s on land owned by Edward Sensabuagh. It’s said to be the most haunted tunnel on the East Coast. Folks claim to see shadow figures in the tunnel, hear whispers and moans. There have even been reports of a figure hanging from the top of the tunnel.
There are a few legends surrounding the tunnel and why it’s haunted. The main one we’ve heard was that a homeless man was robbing the home and took Edward’s baby daughter. Edward chased after him with a gun, but the man did away with the baby down in the tunnel. Folks report hearing what sounds like a baby’s cries in the tunnel to this day.
